ABBERLEY GLAMPING

WELCOME TO ABBERLEY GLAMPING

You love nature, but you also like your creature comforts. We get it. In our little corner of the Worcestershire countryside we wanted to create a hideaway where off-the-grid meets a little luxury. Take your pick from our sustainably-built cabin or shepherd’s hut, both dog-friendly and designed by hand with salvage materials. A few steps from the cabin door you’ll find two outdoor vintage bathtubs where a soak comes with a side order of being immersed in the sights and sounds of the forest.

Our only house rule is to switch off and unwind. Open-fire cooking, nights under star-studded skies, whatever puts you in that slower state of mind. Ready to relax, reset and reconnect with the great outdoors? Scroll down to start exploring.

THE CABIN

An authentic rustic hideaway with a wood burner, cosy double bed and veranda for whiling away evenings, our cabin is the perfect spot to get away from it all. The cabin is built for two. You’ll find it stocked with logs to keep you toasty, along with a fully-equipped kitchen with an electric hob, oven and fridge-freezer. For the true outdoor experience get open-fire cooking with the cast-iron Dutch oven. Best of all – a few steps from your door are two private baths overlooking the brook. Just add a glass of sparkling for an unforgettable soak in the heart of the wild.

THE HUT

Looking for a little simplicity? Authentic and cosy (thanks to its vintage woodburner), our two-person shepherd’s hut is nestled away in a serene, secluded spot with its own awning. 40m away you’ll find a separate hut with a vintage bathroom complete with a roll-top tub for the full Abberley experience. And what would a proper camping trip be without a wild feast? Try out your open-fire cooking skills with the cast-iron Dutch oven, tripod and grill for a true off-grid experience.

Surrounded by the stunning Abberley Valley countryside, there are lots of local walks which we would be more than happy to advise on during your stay. Exploring the neighbouring fields is a great way to work up an appetite for a pub lunch. The Manor Arms, serving locally sourced food and the Rock Cross Inn are two of our favourite pubs. Broomfield Farm Shop is another favourite, selling everything you might need, along with a lovely cafe/restaurant.

words from happy glampers

We were looking for a place to stay for a few days where we could be surrounded by nature with no distractions, a sort of city detox. We found this lovely place only a few hours driving from London. We loved everything about our stay: the location is very easy to find and Tim was very helpful and welcoming. We made contact prior arrival and he has suggested us some local farm shops where we could pick up some supplies for our stay. The hut is very well equipped, with all basic cooking equipment and condiments, including tea and coffee. Towels and bed linens provided. The bathroom was clean and with flush toilet and hot water. It is visible that the place is well kept and Tim puts effort in it. Would definitely go again and recommend it to family and friends. It was a great few days stay.

We loved our stay at Joan’s Hut. So beautiful, brilliantly put together and great to get back to simplicity. We felt like we totally escaped and switched off for the time that we were there. Thank you!     Penny .   15/12/2023

I booked for four nights but wish it had been eternity! The location is fantastic and an amazing escape from 21st Century Living.  Mathew .   18/09/2023

We cooked beautiful food on the fire. Carved spoons. Took baths. Walked up the hill to watch the sunset. And we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere which was perfect.   Laurence.       23/08/2023

We had a beautiful 2 night stay at Joan’s Hut. Very cosy little hut with a campfire and all wood ready to go! Such a tranquil setting with many trails surrounding it if you’re up for a hike. If not sit back and relax to the sound of so many birds. We were also lucky enough to see a deer and also some bats of a night time. This stay is exactly what we needed and we will definitely be returning! Thanks so much to Tim for his kind hospitality and for giving us such a beautiful, restful break…            Sophie    29/05/2023
